I'm So Excited....I Just Can't Hide It

Yesterday was our first showing since putting the For Sale sign up about a month ago. So, we loaded up the cat and the dog and went RV shopping. We ended up at RV's For Less in Knoxville and looked over their 5'ers. They had just gotten in 3 new DRV Mobile Suites and we really liked one of them. We have been flip-flopping between a 5'er and a motorhome, just because of the fear of driving a honker truck pulling a honker coach. But after talking to the owner at RV's For Less we feel better about our original choice of a fifth wheel. This guy is sold on the Suites. He once built Prevost buses and seems to be know what's what in the quality of RV's. So, I think we have made our decision about what and where to buy. Now on to the other decisions, like which hitch, which truck. So much to do, so little time!

While in Knoxville, we got a phone call from our agent. After the prospective buyer took a peek, he called our agent and wanted to know - get this - if we would consider including our furniture! Whoo Hoo....they would be doing us a huge favor if that happens! No offer, but that sounded positive. We have another showing today. Keep your fingers and toes crossed.

Happy Trails,
Deb

I saw that Donna recommended RV's For Less and that you were looking at the Big Horn and that is why we ended up there. They had some Big Horns and they are awesome Jessica. I told the owner Butch that you will probably be coming by while in Tennessee for the rally. We might make another trip over there during the rally, too. Look forward to seeing you!

The rally is going to be so awesome! The only "negative" will be that it will be hard to come back to normal life when the week is over. We are definitely looking forward to going to the RVsforless dealership. :)

Whoo-hoo!! Sounds like things might be falling into place very nicely!

Glad you got to meet Butch. I only dealt with him on the phone but as I posted to Jessica, I was very impressed with him and the dealership (and anything I found on the web about them was positive).

Looking forward to updates!!

Donna: They have a very small inventory, and I think they focus on servicing their sales. Seems to be a good family business. I am glad we stopped by and feel sure we will do business with Butch when the time comes.

Oh yeah....if we were able to pull off selling the condo this Spring, it would be nice indeed! Actually, the couple that looked yesterday came back for a second peek today. That is always a good sign.

Hope they give you a decent offer! We are about a year way from having the house ready. I dread selling the furniture. Some of it is old and that I don't mind getting rid of, but some is quite nice.

Good luck and keep posting!

Merikay, thanks for the good wishes. I hope we get an offer! Ends up that the couple that looked yesterday came back for a second look today, so that is a good sign!

I know what you mean, it is tough parting with some of the furniture that we have. But, for the most part, I don't have a lot of stuff that I can't live without. Anything that has sentimental value will go to family. I have some things like art, pottery, quilts and dishes that make me happy, and will probably travel with me. I just need to make sure my truck is big enough to carry the load! I swear, I feel like Beverly Hillbillies or something!
