We have a contract!

The offer was not dead after all! Our agent is pretty persistent and persuasive, so in the end the buyer came back with a little more after our counter, and we knew it was time to fold 'em. We were pretty lucky in that we bought two years ago and sold for a little more than we paid. (It's those sales commissions that are a killer.)

So, we are scheduled to close March 21st, and there is so much to do! We made reservations today at a local campground here in Chattanooga, where we plan to stay after closing, up until the RV-Dreams rally in Sevierville, TN. We have to buy a truck, sell or trade two vehicles, sell or trade our Winnebago View, buy a fifth-wheel and then - we are outta here! Still not sure of hubby's retirement date as there are still some things to work out there.

Yipee! I am hoping our luck rubs off on everyone else with their house for sale!

Happy Trails!
Deborah

Thanks guys. Yep, one crazy chickie says it all.....on top of that, Mr. Phil just got on a plane to go with old buds on a week-long snow-skiing trip. Talk about poor timing! And, work is crazy. How on Earth will all of this come together?

It will come together. :) If it were me, I would make a list - put everything on it, no matter how big or small the item. And then cross them off, one by one. That is what we did when we had our 10 day condo work-a-thon, and it was such a big help! It seems to make everything more manageable somehow, plus you're not as likely to forget something. Keep the list with you so you can add to it at anytime when you think of something you need, or need to do.

Yep, Jessica, I am a list maker. It just seems my list is overwhelming. One day at a time....that's all I can handle. The fulltiming rally is coming at a great time. Well, sort of....maybe last month would have been better!
